The word media is used A LOT in our society, even by digital media studios like Infinite Generations, but what does the word media really mean?
Oxfords Learners Dictionary defines media as "the main ways that large numbers of people receive information and entertainment, that is television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet"
That means that media is anything that provides viewers with information and/or entertainment. Media can be used in various ways and one of its main purposes is to convey ideas and facilitate effective communication amongst people during social interactions.
To us media is more than mass communication. It gives us a way to share experiences and connect with others all across the globe. Creating content is a way to express our ideas to others in creative and engaging ways.
Digital Media is vital to modern civilization and is used all across the world by millions of people. It is a great and effective way of getting information to the public in a timely manner.
